Olga Malevich Sediako
Olga Malevich Sediako was born in Minsk, Belarus in a family with deep links to and a great appreciation for the arts. She began painting at a young age, experimenting with various styles and mediums. As her life was uprooted multiple times, first from her hometown to embark on decade-long travels across China and Taiwan, and finally again upon settling in Canada, so has her artistic style continuously evolved, reflecting the cultural and personal influences that accumulated from these experiences.
Olga's artistic repertoire spans a wide array of subject matter, depth, color and form, drawing inspiration from the mysteries of everyday life around her. Through variations in contrast, shade, detail and subject matter, she attempts to capture the fleeting moments that overwhelm with emotions ranging from peace and tranquility to turbulence and chaos.
Olga currently lives in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. She strives to live her life to the fullest, and she mirrors this passion through her works of art. While many of the pieces were inspired by the experiences abroad, her most consistent subjects are the serene waters of the Okanagan Lake and the beauty of raw and untouched nature of the Canadian West Coast.
Olga is married to her university sweetheart. They have two children and two grandchildren.
